This doctoral research project aims to investigate the trajectory of Mozambicans trained in Cuba within the framework of a socialist pedagogical project and how they reconfigure themselves to become protagonists in a post-socialist society The literature review covered three main topics 1 the New Man 2 Third World international solidarity and 3 international schools in Cuba It identified a gap in studies examining the process of constructing new subjects anchored in common ideas defended by Marxist-Leninist-inspired movements and how these actors incorporated them into their cultural social and political identitiesThe research adopts a qualitative approach and aims to contribute to the understanding of how individual and collective subjects adapt to processes of historical transition
