Feminist methodologies and the Photovoice method as participatory action research
April 3, 2025, 14h30-16h30
Room 2, CES | Alta
The photovoice method consists of a research method in which participants produce photographs to answer the research questions, telling their stories through the use of images. Although it is a qualitative method, photovoice produces robust results, integrating the voices of the participants to propose solutions to the barriers and struggles they face. In this session, we will reflect on the photovoice method as participatory action research, and work with the application of this method in political ecology research.
