Observatories
Observatory on Crisis and Alternatives: Monitorises the crisis' development in its multiple dimensions and manifestations in Portugal, making its characterization and diagnosis more precise. The Observatory will endeavour to monitor policies, in terms of goals and the mobilized resources, and the expected or observable results, contributing to the identification of responses and broadening the range of alternatives in consideration in the public debate.
Permanent Observatory for Justice objectives are to analyze and publicize the judicial system in its various functional aspects, carry out studies to support the development of public policies for the justice sector and reform proposals and proceed to the evaluation and monitoring of the reforms introduced.
Observatory of Risk is an entity that proactively seeks to identify the social and economic contexts in which the risk acceptability spheres are established, concerned with the efficiency analysis of public and private mitigation strategies, and attentive to the emergence and consolidation of new players and groups.
Observatory for Education Policies and Professional Development aims at conducting scientific research activities within the educational policies - namely, the conduction of research projects, development of research and dissemination networks, organization of events, establishment of partnerships, implementation of outreach and consulting activities and mobilization of institutional actors.
The Trauma Observatory aims to promote and disseminate knowledge about prevention and intervention in psychotrauma in situations of crisis, disaster or catastrophe, as well as collaborate with institutions involved in these scenarios, proposing as a forum for debate and sharing of different knowledge in the field of Trauma.
The CREATOUR® Observatory - Observatory on culture and tourism for local development focuses on 3 thematic areas: 1) Cultural and Creative Ecologies; 2) Cultural, Creative and Regenerative Tourism; and 3) Local, Regional and Community Development, through a transdisciplinary and critical reflection perspective. Focusing on extra-metropolitan areas of Portugal, it is a cross-sectoral platform that brings together researchers and practitioners from the tourism and cultural and creative sectors, following a logic of capacity-building, evaluation and knowledge co-production with practitioners and decision-makers.
