Judith Jordà i Frias
Biography
PhD candidate in International Relations: International Politics and Conflict Resolution (UC). Master in International Relations and African Studies (UAM), Postgraduate Course in African Culture and Societies, Singularities and Globalisation (CEA/UPF), Degree in Anthropology (University of Strasbourg) and Degree in Translation and Interpretation (UAB). Main research interests: the perpetuation of the Israeli occupation through education; the demolition of Palestinian houses as collective punishment; Palestinian daily resistance to Israelian apartheid; Nigerian-Catalan sex trafficking from Black Feminist Gepolitics; Catalan labour trafficking in the care and domestic sector; pacifist social movements in the Democratic Republic of Congo; decolonial feminist praxis. In parallel, I have also worked as an anthropologist and teacher (Aurora, Gestió de Projectes Socials; Comissió Catalana d'Acció pel Refugi), project manager (Lliga dels Drets dels Pobles) and researcher of ethical and technological issues applied to social sciences (Eticas Research and Consulting), organiser of academic and advocacy events (Festival Internacional de Cinemes Africans de Barcelona, Reseau Européen pour l'Afrique centrale, University of Coimbra), translator and interpreter (agencies, governments, organisations and private clients).
