Biography

PhD Candidate in Postcolonialisms and Global Citizenship at the Centre for Social Studies (CES), affiliated with the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra. Holds a Master's degree in Biodiversity in Protected Areas from the National School of Tropical Botany, affiliated with the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden Research Institute. Specialist in State, Law, and the Rights of Traditional Peoples and Communities from the Faculty of Law of the Federal University of Bahia. Specialist in Epistemologies of the South through FLACSO Brazil and CLACSO. Holds both a Bachelor's Degree and a Teaching Degree in History from the Institute of Human and Social Sciences of the Federal University of Mato Grosso. Since 2009, I have worked as an Environmental Analyst at the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio). My professional experience includes socio-environmental management in an Extractive Reserve, fire management in a Cerrado National Park, and the administration of a strictly protected conservation unit overlapping with Indigenous Territory.
