Lilian Giacomini Cruz | Full Professor at the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul, UEMS/Campo Grande, and accredited in the Postgraduate Programmes in Science and Mathematics Education, UEMS, and in Science Teaching, UFMS. She is a biologist, specialising in Environmental Management at ESALQ/USP and has a PhD in Science Education at UNESP/Bauru. She carried out research at the University of Santiago de Compostela/Spain. She has experience in research into Environmental Education in the school context. She did a post-doctoral internship at UNESP/Botucatu. She is a member of the Environmental Sciences and Education Study Group - GEAMBE (UEMS), the Training and Action of Science Teachers and Environmental Educators Research Group (UNESP/Botucatu) and the Environmental Education, Knowledge and Science Research Group - SACI (UFMS).
Leonardo Kaplan | Adjunct Professor at the State University of Rio de Janeiro, UERJ. Kaplan is a biologist with a Master's and PhD in Education from UFRJ. He is the coordinator of the Research Discussion Group (GDP) in Environmental Education and Public Policies. Holds experience in the field of Education, with special focus on Environmental Education, Critical Discourse Analysis, Public Educational Policies and Science and Biology Teaching.
Marcela de Moraes Agudo | UNESP/Botucatu/Brazil: Assistant Professor at Universidade Estadual Paulista, UNESP/Botucatu. Moraes Agudo is a pedagogue, biologist, Master and PhD in Science Education, UNESP/Bauru. Accredited in the Postgraduate Programme in Science Education, UNESP/Bauru. Main research, teaching and outreach topics: Society and Nature. Nature Sciences and Biology Teaching. Environmental Education. Teacher training. Foundations of education. Teaching work. Public schools. Educational policies. Moraes Agudo is currently conducting a post-doctoral internship at the University of Coimbra, Centre for Social Studies (CES).
Rita Campos | Researcher at the Centre for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra (CES), where she co-coordinates the Citizen Science and Education Working Group. With a PhD in Biology from the University of Porto, Campos has been working at the intersection of science communication and education since 2009. She has been a permanent member of the Observatory of Education and Training Policies since 2022. Her main research interests focus on the development of collaborative and participatory methodologies, the promotion of science literacy, with a focus on biology and environmental sustainability, and new forms of learning in dialogue.
Inês Vieira | Assistant professor at Lusófona University and researcher at CeiED - Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Development. Vieira holds a degree in Early Childhood Education, a master's degree and a PhD in Human Ecology, developing research into education, ecology and territory. She coordinates ESA RN27 (Regional Network on Southern European Societies, European Sociological Association) and runs the Public Science Forum at CeiED.
